About the Program: Navigator Volunteers are assigned to work in special projects for outpatient Primary Care Clinics or specific in-patient Hospital Units to improve the Patient Experience. Patient Navigator Volunteers provide operational support at primary care sites or survey patients at bedside regarding their care and services in the hospital setting. Each volunteer will input results into a database to provide critical feedback to administrative teams.
***TSU Program Dates: Spring 2025 - Tentative February 24, 2025 - May 1, 2025; Flexible Scheduling 6-10 hours per week.

2) You will be required to Upload all of the required immunization records: MMR, Varicella, and Tdap. If you have already gotten your Covid shots, please submit those records as well to Ready set (instructions will be provided upon completion of the background check.
3) We will complete a background check - no need to do anything on your end
4) Sign up for an Occupational Health appointment to get your TB titer: Monday - Friday at 8am - 2pm. Appointments are at every hour on the hour (8am, 9am, 10am) Just email me with your top three preferred appointment times and I will get it scheduled. (Upon completion of your background check)
5) Once you have completed all of the above, I will send you the instructions to complete your online volunteer orientation.
6) You are cleared to start once all of the above requirements are met
Note: The vaccination requirements listed below will need to be submitted
- Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) for volunteers born after 1957 - two doses or laboratory evidence of immunity are required.
- Varicella (chicken pox)- two doses, laboratory evidence of immunity, or medical diagnosis of history of varicella disease are required
- Pertussis - one dose is required.
- Tuberculosis test - TB blood tests are provided free of charge through Harris Health Occupational Health Services.
- Influenza - one dose is required annually September - March. Occupational Health Services provides flu shots free of charge during the flu season.
